Have you ever noticed, when the temperatures hit around the 90 degrees or more figures, that people, when not in any type of air conditioning, lose their tempers a lot faster? Just in the last week, I have 3 guys that have been with me since Sunday. Two of the guys are: 15 year old son and the other a 12 year old son. The other is my fiance, who is from England. I've learned different things about England in the past 4 years and one of those things is that England (at least from where he is from) does not see the type of heat that we have been getting in New York. My temperature fixtures have actually seen 101 degrees this week!
To beat the heat and not run up my electric bill, we do swim in the above ground pool that I have. The pool temperature guage was at 82 degrees. For me, that's not much of a difference, I prefer around 75 degrees, which is more refreshing. To keep hydrated, we have been drinking a lot of water with Ice cubes, just to get through it. I also have a Great Dane, who's name is George which begs and begs for ice cubes!
So far, I have only found one way to keep the "tempers" down. That way is to keep your body as cool as you can get it, inside and out. At night, we will run the A/C so we can get a peaceful sleep.
Stay Cool Everyone!!!
